There are over one million burglaries a year with over 40,000 or more residents killed by burglaries. You read it in the newspapers or watch it on the news. A woman robbed and raped, a restaurant owner robbed and killed, a killer on the rampage, a child is kidnapped, missing children, sex traffic, bullies at school, a man is shot and killed during a traffic dispute or kids are taking guns to school in record numbers and something like two thirds of all paroled felons go back to prison. Random violence has become a way of life in the inner city and drugs and gangs are showing up in once- safe surburban and rural areas. The bottom line is that people are scared. They’re afraid for themselves and their families. Most people in this country have been the victim of a serious or violent crime, or they know someone who has. Oviously society has become a dangerous place to live and raise children. The criminals do not follow the United States weapons laws. So, it is up to each of us to protect ourselves, children, family, home and business. Also, do you remember a while back the school massacres? NOW we go to war on crime? | |
